Sunday night for Monday

I love this quote.
I loved it as a child and I love it even more now as an adult.
I am real now.
And it didn’t all happen at once…
it certainly took a long time.
I am more real every day.

It is time to tell you that I must sleep every day from 4-5:30pm.
It is time to tell you that my memory is even worse than before.
It is time to tell you that I swear my belly button is deeper.
It is time to tell you that I am with child.

It’s very early…we are only starting 7 weeks. But, we want to celebrate what is now and beg you all to pray with us for continued health and growth. We’re amazed…I mean, we honestly don’t really understand our bodies enough to truly believe this is possible…but we’re thrilled. Let the hilarity begin! I’ve got to start sewing little skirts out of vintage pillow cases and k-nitting striped socks and making muslin cowboy aprons! There’s so much to do and so little time!

And hopefully one day soon…perhaps around November 11th…I will read little Peanut The Velveteen Rabbit and a whole new world of REAL will begin to become.

Congrats…I was waiting on this post I knew from the email it would soon be approaching. YOU are going to love life (even more, they are WONDERFUL) once the little peanut rocks your world. I hate to tell you this but the memory thing it never comes back!!! I will pray for you because I know how exciting yet stressful being with child is…don’t read What to Expect When Expecting…it will stress you out. I am so happy, you are in my prayers.

    Ooooooh that is SO exciting!!!

    Exciting exciting exciting!

    πŸ™‚ Congratulations!

(Could there be any more exclamations in this comment…!!!)

  • mr. chris

wow! i am very excited for you both. i agree, it’s never too early to share good news and get prayer involved. being a christian, i do not believe in bad luck, or jinxes. i would rather have prayer and love support from friends and family then try to keep a secret and sweat it out alone until the superstitious allowable date has passed!!

    lots o love,
    MR. Chris

    Congrats Kate!! How exciting!!

About Velveteen Rabbit…Caleb and I were JUST talking about his own bunny, and how sometimes Caleb pretends that Morny is real. It was an interesting conversation to say the least.

    Again, congrats on your pregnancy!

    oh my
    oh my
    oh my
    oh my soul.
Congratulations to you both. I am so stinking happy for you. These are exciting (and tiresome, and tear-filled, and emotional, and awe-inspiring, and so very very wonderfilled) days. We will be praying for health and peace for all three of you. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. You have a little being in you that already has DNA and a gender and a personality and a future.

As for the knitting group, oh man, we have our work cut our for all of us. We need to make warm things for that babe to wear. How else will s/he survive a Michigan winter?
    Round up all needles!
Calling all soft strands of soft wool!
We will rise to the occasion and embrace the Mulder babe!

Congrats! We’re so thrilled for you…and maybe more than a little jealous…(!)

…and from what I hear, Shauna N. might want to k-nit with you!

Congratulations Katie and Curt! We are so happy for ya’ll and we are so happy for “Granma” and “Granpa”.
It must have been the “SHIRT”, ya think?

  • KatieKate

I think it was the shirt!
You must now always call my parents Granma Sue and Granpa Dan. Always. No exceptions.

Welcome back, you married people! I can’t wait to hear about everything (well, not everything, but you know what I mean)

  • OurMrsMikrut

    Heh heh heh…

Where is your little bear with only one eye and all the fur loved off that Grandpa Kluska bought for you when you were just so? You would crawl around with it hanging from your mouth because crawling was so much faster than walking.
K Moore, you keep the knitting group busy…Grandma Sue has carefully saved fabric from clothing she made for Katie when she was just sooo big so she could someday make a baby quilt from them. The day has arrived.
