the end is near

The end of our fake-one-child-status, that is.  Saturday we will leave Michigan and slowly camp our way to Pittsburgh, PA by July 4th to meet up with our Rylie Girl and the rest of the Sebeck Clan.  It’s family reunion time.  You’ll hear us, don’t worry.

Our family is loud.

I found this picture this week and nearly lost it- it’s Ry in Colorado back in March.  She’s watching the Olive Trick Uncle Dan taught her… and she looks so young and so old all at the same time and I am dying to squeeze her.

Do you know the Olive Trick?  I didn’t either, but if you have a glass of suds (these were Miller High Life, I believe) and you throw an olive in there, the olive will bob Up and Down… and Up and Down… and Up and Down like a lava lamp all night long.  It’s awesome and the only reason you should ever buy your 4-year-old a beer.

Do you know any great party tricks?

I shall be away from this space until after the 4th… my very favorite holiday.  Please pray for safe travels and great family time and decent weather.  I’m so excited for us all to be together again!

May the 4th be with YOU all as well.

We love you here at TexasNorth.

PS: tubes for Gus Man tomorrow (Friday)!
