lights out

The power’s out here on the farm, which means major conservation efforts. Someone please explain this to Gideon James. We do have a wood stove and a generator, so we are warm and have minimal power. My genius husband figured out how to make the well run through the generator, which gives us running water (an absolute miracle)… but all other efforts, including phone and computer batteries come second to freezers and refrigerators and the like.

Shall we try for tomorrow?

Time for some tent building.

Consider picking up a small inexpensive power inverter. I have one I can plug in to my car’s cigarette lighter and with an extension cord and power strip I can charge a laptop, a cell phone, and still power several compact fluorescent light bulbs. Great to have for your next power outage.
